President, Malu 'Aina Center for Nonviolent Education and Action

Ruth Aloua, based in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is the President of the Malu ‘Aina Center for Nonviolent Education and Action, a spiritually-oriented non-profit organization striving for peace, justice, and sustainable organic farming.

Ruth is a peace and justice advocate, creating alignment between her work and non-violent interactions with land, water, sky, ocean, humans and our winged, finned, legged relatives of these realms. Her work as a kia'i loko (fishpond guardian) and mahi'ai (farmer) call for her to enhance peaceful interactions as she strengthens her relationship with Papahanaumoku (Earth Mother).

Ruth is working to grow her organization Malu ʻĀina Center for Nonviolent Education and Action with a focus on establishing a traditional food, ceremonial, medicinal, and textile garden of pure seeds, creating a financially viable future, and establishing a template for living in a loving community to pass onto the next generation.
