Frisca works as a researcher for the World Resources Institute (WRI) Foundation in Indonesia in social forestry and is currently researching the level of women’s participation in managing social forestry. The research is expected to be a stepping stone for the organization to improve gender equality in forestry research. Additionally, Frisca is helping to develop research on community practices that contribute to deforestation rates in social forestry areas. Frisca was previously involved in a study examining women’s tenure security in an indigenous community in Riau province. Her prior work experience was in the development sector including non-profit work for street children and social assistance programs. Her background in applied anthropology has helped her have a better understanding of developmental work. In her spare time, Frisca loves listening to music, watching her favorite TV shows, reading, and baking.
