Applications for the 2020 U.S. Grassroots Accelerator are now CLOSED.

This year, 24 leaders from across the continental United States, Guam, and Puerto Rico join us to scale the impact of their critical climate and environmental justice initiatives. In this moment of incredible uncertainty, we are confident that uplifting the work of these dedicated community leaders is exactly what is needed.

The Accelerator cohort includes leaders nominated by organizations from around the U.S. and U.S. Territories. Leaders participate in a three-month interactive, virtual curriculum that is collaborative, hands-on, and non-extractive. Content includes webinars, group video calls, sector-specific working groups, mentorship, and a 2-day virtual “Collaboratory,” focused on peer learning and sharing of working models.

The 2020 Women's Earth Alliance Grassroots Accelerator is an opportunity to gain the skills, tools, knowledge, and networks that leaders need to accelerate their impact.

Through a time-tested curriculum, participants receive the up-leveling they need to improve on and scale their existing environmental and climate initiatives that meet the urgent needs of their regions as well as impact global sustainability goals. Each participant receives support, tools, and mentorship to develop actionable climate and environmental strategies for their regions. They also gain new skills, visibility, resources, and momentum for their critical work. Although there are regional and sector-specific small groups within the cohort, participants gain considerably by exchanging and linking strategies with their national counterparts. Throughout the program, participants also work to pivot or position their initiatives to respond directly to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Together we amplify:

IMPACT

As a national cohort, we will generate measurable and sustained improvements to our global environment, economies, and communities by strengthening and unifying women’s climate initiatives.
