Daniela Perez joined WEA in 2022, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in leadership development, sustainability, and agriculture. Daniela grew up in Tijuana, Mexico and identifies as a transborder Mexican-American. She has a background in higher education, regenerative agriculture, and food sovereignty work in the Latinx community. As an environmental leader, Daniela, is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice. What excites her most about working at WEA is the amazing community of leaders she will get to collaborate with. Daniela is a current Ph.D. candidate in Sustainability Education at Prescott College and is excited about applying her learning to the strategic growth of WEA's programs and community. Daniela is currently researching environmental trauma, resilience, and embodied leadership, and she hopes to bring a spoonful of nourishment to everything she does at WEA. Daniela gets inspired by spending time in her garden; her favorite crops to grow are hot peppers and sunflowers! (se habla español). Learn more about Daniela HERE on our blog!
