The Women’s Earth Alliance Grassroots Accelerator Indonesia is a four-month leadership program designed specifically to provide access to Indonesian women leaders. The program aims to enhance the participants' abilities, tools, knowledge, and networks necessary to accelerate the impact of environmental and climate initiatives.

Participant Eligibility

We are looking for women environmental leaders who:

  • Work and take initiatives in important ecosystem areas, such as peatlands, mangrove forests, national parks, conservation areas, nature reserves, and others.
  • Active in non-profit leadership, grassroots advocacy, business, community empowerment, or movement building with a focus on environment and climate.
  • Implement or plan to implement economic empowerment and/or entrepreneurship in projects or initiatives.
  • Commit to enhancing personal capacity to expand the impact of initiatives.
  • Are interested in involving people from various cultures, religions, traditions, and beliefs.

EXPAND IMPACT

You will strengthen and unify climate initiatives led by women, generating measurable and sustainable impacts for our global environment, economies, and communities.

NETWORK WITH OTHER LEADERS

You will become part of a national and global network of grassroots environmental leaders, gaining access to new funding, sharing best practices with fellows, and visibility at both national and global levels.

SHARE RESOURCES

You will gain professional skill development in leadership, entrepreneurship, advocacy, communication, and technical solutions from global facilitators, regional experts, and cohort peers.

Through this program, you will gain:

Skills in professional development, leadership, economic justice, advocacy, communications, and environmental innovations facilitated by issue experts and cohort peers

Professionally produced media assets that can spread the impact of your work

US$ 1,500 seed grant opportunity to grow your urgently needed, high-impact climate/environmental initiatives, campaigns, or policy platforms

Ongoing one-on-one expert and peer mentoring to foster your personal and professional development

Visibility in national and international WEA networks

A comprehensive action plan to accelerate your climate/environmental initiative, including an impact framework & metrics, implementation strategy, timeline, and budget

Skill and knowledge exchange within working groups (e.g., water and sanitation, regenerative agriculture, economic development, indigenous lifeways, etc)

WEA accelerator alumni access to sharing resources, networks, and a repository of best practices

Ongoing global alliance support to implement your action plans that are designed for long-term sustainability, policy change, environmental and climate resilience
