Rising Together: A Call to Resilience and Action

Dear Community,

This morning brings a sense of uncertainty, and for many of us, it feels heavy. The last 12 hours have left countless people grappling with questions, emotions, and a genuine concern for what lies ahead. For those of us working to advance women’s leadership, address the climate crisis, and support communities on the margins, this moment may feel like a daunting push back when we were ready to push forward.

But if there’s one lesson we’ve learned from our journey at Women’s Earth Alliance and from the incredible women leaders we work alongside, it’s that resilience is not just a word—it’s an action, a choice, a rallying call. Across continents and through challenges that would make most falter, women are persevering. They are the first responders to climate disasters, the caretakers in times of crises, and the voices for justice where it’s hardest to be heard. Now, more than ever, we need that same resilience in our communities and within ourselves.

Here’s the truth: real change has always come from people who refuse to give up, even when the odds seem insurmountable. While today we may feel the sting of setbacks, we also have the clarity of knowing our values. This clarity is our strength. If anything, this moment calls us to double down on our commitment to justice, to the climate, to each other.

Our work—whether through Women’s Earth Alliance or countless other organizations dedicated to a sustainable, equitable future—has always been rooted in community, collaboration, and courage. We are not defined by any one leader or administration. We are defined by our shared vision for the world we want to create, and now is the time to lean on one another, organize with renewed purpose, and to turn fears into focused action.

To everyone feeling afraid, disheartened, or uncertain about the road ahead: you are not alone. This is the time to reach out, to strengthen our alliances, and to support the local leaders who are the beating heart of community resilience. The journey ahead may be long, but together, we are unbreakable.

As we move forward, let us remember that the work we do—advancing women’s leadership, protecting the planet, building community—is not only essential but unstoppable. We have faced adversity before and emerged stronger. Now, we rise again, hand in hand, with our vision for a just, compassionate, and resilient world lighting the way.

In loving partnership,

Melinda, Amira and Kahea
