The WEA 2023 Impact Report is Live!
WEA’s 2023 Impact Report tells a story of resilience, empowerment, and transformation. Last year through our concerted efforts in 11 countries working with 23,000 WEA Leaders, we reached 2.9 million people with life-saving climate solutions, provided grants to 1,416 women-led climate groups, and sequestered 725 metric tons of carbon—a testament to the power of women's leadership in addressing the climate crisis.
In the face of numerous critical global challenges, the climate crisis demands our immediate attention and unwavering commitment. Why? Because each day we get closer to a planet that can no longer sustain life as we know it.
Women are undeniably at the forefront of this fight. Empowered with equal access to decision-making opportunities, women consistently demonstrate their capacity to drive sustainable change across diverse sectors. We see this manifested in the courageous actions of women worldwide, from those suing their governments over climate inaction, to the inspiring advocacy of grassroots leaders protecting their families and communities from harm, to the thousands of WEA leaders launching climate-smart eco-enterprises.
